Job Description Engineer: SCM Fundamentals, J2EE, Oracle,

[Note: Start Date : 12/12/2011
End Date : 02/29/2012]

Description :
SCM & Build System Engineer will need to meet the following qualifications: Have solid knowledge of the SCM Fundamentals: Versioning and source control Branching methodologies SCM maintenance strategies SDLC from SCM perspective build processes (specifically in Java-centric environment)

Extensive experience working in parallel-development environments Build and Release Management Systems: Experience working, modifying and customizing build systems Experience integrating external tools and processes into build and release system Good knowledge of deployment processes in the SCM context Technology: Experience with scripting languages, such as Perl Comfortable in Linux/Unix environments Experience with Rational tools, including Build Forge, Team Concert, as well as CruiseControl, Ant, Maven and other known build systems A team player with excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must have a service-oriented attitude with excellent problem solving and analytical skills. Ability to work independently, self-motivated, and highly focused. Ability to thrive in a changing environment. Ability to manage multiple projects with multiple priorities. A strong understanding of the software development lifecycle and software development methodologies (requirements gathering, analysis and design, development tools, version control, testing and QA, and deployment). Well-honed SCM skills and expert understanding of the Software Configuration Management. Ability to perform complex SCM tasks and ability to mentor or train others in the configuration management effort. Comfortable in continuous build and integration environment.

Suggested Experience & Qualifications: Bachelor of Science or Masters Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or Mathematics or a related field. A successful candidate will have 10 years or more of experience in software configuration management, software or systems engineering and must be comfortable in complex SCM and release engineering environments.
