The SAP Java technology administrator is responsible for in-depth SAP system Administration with SAP Netweaver suites. The SAP Netweaver Portal and NWDI administrator is responsible to install and manage productive and current deployment SAP Java stack application environments. SPECIFIC DUTIES, ACTIVITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible to provide the day to day Basis administration support (24*7) with multiple releases of SAP NW Portal , Composition Environment and NWDI productive and non-productive environment. Installations & upgrades of NetWeaver J2EE 7.0 , 7.01 EP Portal, XI and NWDI Researches & implements solutions within Basis functionality in areas of performance monitoring, tuning and systems configurations, design & implementation. Providing documentation (SOPs) for technical and process related activities Provides support & maintenance of transports Responsible to perform regular system refreshes Responsible for setup, configuration and troubleshooting of complex environments (e.g. clustering, high availability, load balancing etc.) Responsible for setting up Portal, NW Composition Environment and NWDI monitoring. Along with the transport route setup for Portal, CE. Track configuration in NWDI for Build and RUN. Synchronize the Build and run tracks in NWDI and support application team in deployment as well as troubleshooting the problem. Configuration of NWDI components CBS, CMS. Roles, iview and report management on Portal and Composition Environment. Configuration of federated portal and LDAP user management and configuration. Configuring central SLD and creation of Product and components for custom development. Function as point of contact for production SAP Basis related issues. Ensure proper configuration & security on all server environments. Conduct ongoing monitoring and maintenance to ensure stability and optimal performance on all server environments. Configuration of the BI Portal along with Workflow configuration. Applying and configuring Business packages. Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) on all severity 1 issues. Ability to independently install SAP upgrades/patches and perform routine SAP system administration functions. Assist DBA with Oracle and DB2 Database administration (e.g. table space admin, backups and restores) Participate in On Call rotation & provide after hours support as needed. POSITION REQUIREMENTS: Education or Equivalent: BS in computer or related field and SAP Basis Certification (Required) Qualifications / Skills Requirements: Strong customer service and conflict management skills. 5 or more years SAP Netweaver Java, SAP XI and Portal administration experience 2 Full cycle implementation experience Database background DB2 and Oracle OS background on AIX, LINUX, and Windows Good understanding on virtualization & high availability Ability to multi-task Good co-ordination and organization skills.
