Later on in the project, it may transform into a more traditional development/coding role. Some of the deliverables expected are: 1. Document step by step instructions to create a full development environment (prerequisites, how to install those, where is code, how to download code, configurations, which configurations to change and point to what machine/instance etc.) 2. Developer Guide (Containing things such as Overview of QTS architecture, UML diagrams as well as verbal descriptions of the flow, important components such as database access, fix, messaging and how they are structured, their lifecycle and processing logic, how and where to plug in new algorithms, what class structure to follow for such work, best practices etc.) 3. Build and deployment automation 4. Introduction of profiling tools, design tools 5. Upgraded infrastructure (such as upgrade app server, java version etc.) and test for integration and performance. Suggested Experience & Qualifications: For junior: Diploma in computer programming or equivalent work experience For senior: Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience Describe any travel (if applicable): 1. Strong knowledge of Java/J2ee platform, and related tools such as Development tools (Eclipse) design/UML tools, profiling/tuning tools, build/deploy tools (ANT) etc. Need somebody who has extensively used these tools before and is familiar with java development environment. 2. Experience with Unix scripting 3. Previous experience reverse engineering/refactorying code will be very helpful. 4. Experience with Java front end technologies such as Swing/Netbeans/Eclipse RCP is helpful. 5. Other qualities - Attention to detail and ability to write quality technical documents. Flexible to execute tasks as needed by the project without being picky.
