The candidate will be part of an agile development team, building and working on enterprise grade software systems on top of the Java, J2EE and Spring software development stacks. This position involves all aspects of designing and developing application systems and developing requirements and design specifications for new and existing applications. Qualifications * Bachelors or Masters Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field * Minimum of 5 years of object oriented software development experience * Strong skills in Java, J2EE, Eclipse, Maven, Spring, Web Service Development and UML * Strong skills in Tomcat and IBM WebSphere Application Server, * Strong skills in SQL, JPA and relational databases * Experience in integration design and development skills using technologies such as IBM MQ, and JMS * Good knowledge of ESB and SOA, Web Services methodologies using RESTful or SOAP based APIs * Ability to function in a Linux/Unix environment using shell commands. Scripting is a plus * Ability to scrutinize applications and services to ensure they adhere to security standards * Working experience building Internet scale distributed systems or high volume client/server systems * Ability to work both independently and as part of a team * Interact with other key project designers participating in project-wide design and procedures decisions * Assist in defining development procedures * Analyze, discover, document, and communicate design options for implementing analysis specifications * Ability to communicate precisely and clearly, in both spoken and written English * Good problem solving skills * Maintain and enhance existing services, applications, and platforms including, but not limited to, bug fixes, feature enhancements and performance tuning * Troubleshoot and debug complex issues; identify and implement solutions * Ensure tasks and projects are completed on time and within scope * Strong technical, analytical, problem solving and decision making skills * Ability to be flexible and focused to deliver products with different priorities and timelines * Work closely with software architects to ensure decisions meet long-term enterprise needs * Analyze system requirements, design, and document solutions using specified tools and methodologies * Experience with Agile development methods required * Interface with management, business analysts, project managers, IT Architects and other developers, along with internal customers, to understand requirements and develop needs according to business requirements * Work with production operations department to ensure deployments roll out smoothly and customers receive appropriate support * Research and implement new technologies to enhance current processes, security and performance * Document software designs * Develop and enforce policy and procedural changes within the development group * Develop coding standards and adhere to best pr   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
