The candidate must be customer facing, have effective communication skills, and a technical background that facilitates an understanding of the subject matter. The candidate should require minimal supervision and direction in order to accomplish assigned tasks. The position will be held within the Office of Technology Services (OTS) in the Education & Workforce Development Cabinet. Position Description Work alongside team of project managers, business & technical analysts, developers and testers Responsible for gathering and documenting business requirements to establish a scope of work Assist with preparation of cost estimates and budgets for new business development Act as liaison among stakeholders during Joint Agency Design (JAD) sessions to refine business processes and ensure cross-agency collaboration on project deliverables Prepare project deliverables (Project Requirements Document, Use Cases, Functional and Non-Functional Design Specifications, Project Management Plans, Test Plans and Release Schedules) Work with developers and other technical staff to define the technical solution to fulfill requirements Prepare status reports on project milestones, risks and mitigation plans on a weekly basis Coordinate end to end systems integration and user acceptance testing Analyze functional and non-functional defects in the system, write defects and test resolutions Write User Guides, Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) and other training materials Assist with software implementation release planning and deployment validation and verification Familiarity with Jira and TFS for defect tracking, testing and release management Knowledge and Experience IT background with project management/business analysis experience on large-scale IT projects Candidates should have a minimum of 3 years of analytical and testing experience Experience with projects through all stages of the Software Development Life-Cycle (SDLC) Competencies Exercise strong business acumen across a diverse portfolio of projects and deliverables Utilize analytical skills with all members of functional project teams to define business requirements Must be methodical, meticulous and able to set and meet deadlines and priorities in a structured way Must be flexible and adaptable to faced-paced change and enjoy cross functional teamwork Strong decision-making, conflict resolution and facilitation skills Must be highly organized and a great multitasker with team-focused performance Excellent Interpersonal, Written and Oral Communication Skills: Giving a presentation in front of peers and management Writing concise emails, using proper grammar and tone Articulating ideas effectively so that others can easily understand both in meetings or in one-on-one conversations Speaking in a way that is professional, polished and in a confident manner Explaining proposals, ideas, policies and plans to customers or clients   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
