They will be involved in client invoice generation, processing of vendor billing data, assisting in establishing rates, and preparation of financial/billing reports. This individual will work within a team environment, assisting on management requests, helping to resolve routine and non-routine problems, documenting current processes, and developing solutions based upon system and application knowledge. Candidate should have experience with all phases of the System Development Life Cycle from requirements analysis to implementation. The candidate will be working with files that reside on an IBM mainframe, so they should have a working knowledge of the following with a minimum of seven years experience: - ability to understand application requirements and develop/design appropriate solutions - skills in writing, maintaining, and running JCL - understanding of process flow charts and the relationship to the JCL job flow - VSAM and Sequential file storage methods, and of the use of the related utilities - COBOL – development, coding and support of applications/programs - SQL – development and coding of queries - Easytrieve – development, coding and support of applications/programs - TSO - storage file catalog maintenance - creating and managing GDGs - DFDSS and backup and restore methodologies - Endeavor or other code management software - Exporter – preferred but not required - Microsoft Access – a plus but not required * (FTP) file transfer protocol utilities.
