Expectations To fulfill the role of MF Developer and Systems Analyst. Consultant will assist in the program analysis, development and maintenance of a variety of complex UI Benefit, Tax and Appeals subsystems. Role Requirements Develop and maintain documentation and manuals necessary at customer and operational levels; provides assistance to other application developers in the analysis, development and design of legacy information systems, while adhering to Projects development lifecycle; Responsible for analyzing and documenting business needs. Acts as a liaison between technical staff, users and vendors regarding legacy application design and modifications; defines data elements; performs system tests; assist in preparing task plans and time and cost estimates; develops tables and relationships upon request; may be responsible for design, development and implementation of new system interfaces; coordinates and/or provides customer support, as needed; prepares progress reports; prepares program specifications and test data for own work; performs unit and/or system tests; maintains and enhances existing programs; performs related duties as required. Required Knowledge Must demonstrate ability to excel in a rapidly changing environment and must have advanced development experience in Mainframe DB2 and SQL; considerable knowledge of the principles and techniques of systems analysis, design, development and programming required; Candidate should be knowledgeable in IBM integration methods and must demonstrate ability to work independently. Excellent analytical skills are required. Related Criteria Demonstrated experience in COBOL, CICS, DB2, JCL, and Mainframe debugging tools.*10 years experience Additionally, candidate should be familiar with Change Management processes, MS Office(Excel and Word at a minimum, Visio is a plus) and System Development Methodologies (SDMs). A background consisting of 80% MF programming, 20 % business analysis and documentation; extremely strong writing and speaking skills are an effective match.
