You will be responsible for the installation of all system updates, upgrades, building blocks, and other software integrated with Blackboard and collaborating with Operations, Curriculum/Instructional Design, Academics, and Information Technology to establish system defaults, policies, Management of Courses, including but not limited to: Updating Course Properties, Creating Courses and Enrolling Users using the wizard, template(s) and or batch processes. Responsibilities: Provide support to course designers in the areas of multimedia storage, course cloning, coping, backing, retrieving and setup processes within Blackboard. Execution of User Provisioning, including but not limited to; User Accounts: batch create users, change passwords, customize information. Management of Community Areas, including but not limited to; Tabs, Modules, Channels, Brands, Themes, Tool Panel, and Communities Settings. Configuration, management, and documentation of Advanced System Reporting environment and all customer reporting. System Management pertaining to; Authentication, integration, configuration, and deciphering of encryption keys and context, System Information: ie registration and performance, and ability to interpret logs in order to identify appropriate action. Create customized Blackboard functional modules (ex. Building Blocks) Definition, implementation, execution, and management of security protocols, including but not limited to the following: Security Options, SSL Choice, and Shibboleth Integration, Customize the Login and Gateway Pages, and Structuring a Flexible and Secure Administration Model Definition, implementation, and configuration of technical aettings, including but not limited to: Log Settings, Performance Settings, Manage Document Stores, JDBC Settings, Storage Location, Temporary Storage Settings, Deletion Audit Trail Report, Deletion Audit Trail Settings, Global Schema Settings, Bandwidth Restrictions, Bandwidth Settings, Authentication Properties, and Full Text Search Settings Analysis and evaluation of existing or proposed systems and designs computer systems to process data . Preparation and update of documentation for new or existing systems. Maintenance of current knowledge of relevant technologies as assigned. Creation of logical data models based on functional requirements. Analysis of detail systems factors, including input and output requirements, information flow, hardware and software requirements, and reliability characteristics. Monitoring of system effectiveness in satisfying user needs. Guidance and work leadership to less-experienced analysts. Participation in special projects as required. Required Skills: Possess advanced technical computer skills including experience w/blackboard Demonstrate experience w/Blackboard System Administration Communicate well w/others both verbally and in writing. Organize and prioritize workload in order to meet necessary guidelines. Make independent judgements/decision within established guidelines. Provide support to Blackboard users and administer the BB course mgmt system. Blackboard maintenance issues such as archiving course designs\other duties. Demonstrable teamwork attitude.
