Notes :
this position is working all with numbers-so someone who has worked projects around algorithms, calculations, produces numbers would be ideal candidate
not on the UI side of things, more backend;

Description:
Hands on developer who is comfortable building a platform using code that was built be another team. So, will need to be able to deep dive into somebody elses code, re-configure existing systems. Will need to build new interfaces to external systems. Once the system is deployed, must be able to monitor, tune and support the platform. The platform they will be working on is Non-dollar Rushmore- trading different currenecies


Roles and Responsibilities:


- Build new features in the application using Java, Solace, Coherence

- Showcase completed work to team and other stake holders

- Comply with guidelines and policies of the team and the enterprise

- Attend daily scrum calls, agile planning and other team meetings

- Update tasks daily in Rally

- Troubleshoot and Fix defects in application

- Support deployments and production releases

- Provide timely support to production issues

- Understand curve calculation logic as setup in Excel Workbooks

- Monitor application to proactively avoid business impact

- Communicate effectively within the team and with other technology and business partners

- Setup scheduled jobs in Autosys


Top 3 requirements:

1) Core Java

2) Multi-threading

3) Messaging (pub/sub)-other terms seen in resumes: JMS, MQ,


Strongly Preferred:

1) GIT

2) Shell scripting

3) Caching (coherence)



Pluses/nice to have:

1) Cap markets Market data (Reuters)

2) Excel formulas and functions

3) Knowledge of Interest Rate curve construction
