The selected candidate will be required to perform hands-on programing and testing of Java code and cryptographic libraries and drivers (such as PGCrypto and ADO.NET) in the Amazon AWS EC2 compute and S3 storage clouds. She/he will be required to design and develop programs that can test encryption functionality of relational (such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle etc.) and NoSQL databases (such as DynamoDB, MongoDB, Cassandra etc.), flat files and data elements. Will participate in interactions with AWS and encryption technology vendors to obtain detailed technical information (if required) and ensure that technical obstacles are overcome so as to be compliant with the application data encryption objectives and security requirements of Wells Fargo. Will participate in interactions with technical, engineering and non-technical partners across the Enterprise for the implementation of encryption technologies listed above. Required Skill Set/Experience: 4+ years of programming with Java in a Linux environment Experience working with JavaScript and JQuery 3+ years of programming experience with relational databases, such as: Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL and/or MS SQL Server 1+ years of programming experience with NoSQL databases: DynamoDB, MongoDB, Cassandra etc. Conceptual understanding of encryption technologies Advanced problem solving and technical troubleshooting capabilities Must be organized and have rigorous attention to detail Must have experience with, and be willing to produce, good documentation to describe technical matters related to programming. Proven written and verbal communication skills with Technical/Engineering personnel Ability to work effectively under aggressive timelines with minimal supervision Skills that would be a Plus: Experience with programming in, and supporting, applications in Amazon AWS EC2 and S3 clouds using relational and NoSQL databases 1+ years of cloud web development experience specific to cloud based technologies, with Clouds such as AWS, MS Azure and Google Good understanding of application dependency on infrastructural components and services such as load balancers, LDAP, DNS, Email, server virtualization, containers etc. Strong understanding of database configuration and administration General security knowledge such as network, firewalls, and encryption.
