Job Description: POSITION TITLE: Business Systems Analyst IV START DATE: Aiming for Mid-April DURATION: 6 months EXTENSION/FTE: Potentially HOURS: M-F 8-5 Location: FCC 5 Dress Code: Business Casual GROUP/PROJECT INFO: - I3 project - Handling of Sales/Marketing data - Approximately 25 team members - Will be liaising with product owners, team members, product owners and other stakeholders RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE (but are not limited to): • Works with key stakeholders within all business functions to align technology solutions with business strategies • Gathers requirements from business units and translate those to programmers and developers • Prepares cost-benefit and return-on-investment analyses to aid in decisions on system implementation • Demonstrates an informed knowledge of business functions to resolve problems and capitalize on improvement opportunities • Supports one or more highly complex business processes • Works on multiple projects as a project team member • Serves as a liaison between the business community and the IT organization in order to provide technical solutions to meet user needs • Translate complex business problems into viable functional and/or technical specifications • Involved with designing solution and documentation • Involved with manual testing and User Acceptance Testing TOP SKILLS / EXPERIENCE: • At least 8 years of experience • Ability to translate complex business problems into functional and technical specifications • Experience documenting technical and functional specifications for data management applications • Strong knowledge of relational databases and concepts • Advanced SQL and Excel skills. • Experience analyzing relational data using SQL and other tools • Experience analyzing data in JSON and XML format Experience with Agile Scrum development practices NICE TO HAVE SKILLS/EXPERIENCE: • Proven investment data subject matter expertise. • Prior experience in the Asset Management industry (especially institutional / intermediary channels) preferred. • Knowledge of financial data and metrics (asset allocation, diversification, attribution, performance calculations, etc.) preferred. • Capable of handling complex data mapping assignments. • Experience with data quality management tools and practices. ETL Tool Experience/knowledge – IICS AWS Skills/knowledge – S3 Business Intelligence tool experience/knowledge – Alteryx/Tableau SOFT SKILLS: Strong communication skills Ability to work independently and with a team Strong time management and organizational skills Good presentation skills EDUCATION: • Bachelors degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related field required.
