The Engineer must have experience with large enterprise software projects, from conception to delivery to testing. This position will interact closely with project management and software engineers to shape project requirements and guide projects through completion. General Guidelines: Can hand-code HTML5, CSS3, and basic JavaScript without needing assistance from code completion or any computer program Can document ideas in hand-written pseudo code Continuously seeks out and learns new web techniques on their own Is a mature professional with initiative and drive Truly enjoys user interface creation and front end development The following qualities are not required, but are highly desired: Understands and enthusiastically embraces philosophies like Web Standards, Semantic markup and good programming practices Has created their own independent projects or contributed to open source projects Is active in the local or national web design and development community INTERVIEW REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to solve problems on a white board using hand-written pseudo-code (HTML, CSS, and JavaScript) Must understand advanced HTML and CSS, and advanced JavaScript functions without needing a computer for reference Must have created several websites from scratch, with preference given to CMS driven sites (WordPress, Drupal, Joomla, SilverStripe, etc.) Must know how to use and modify CSS frameworks like Blueprint, Bootstrap, or Skeleton Required Skills: o Significant OO JavaScript knowledge o Proficient with Swift (2.x/3.x). Experience with Objective-C is a plus o Mobile development for web and on native platforms (iOS, Android) o Experience with iOS frameworks/SDKs, including Core Location, AVFoundation, MediaPlayer and Facebook SDK o Experience with multi-threading and Grand Central Dispatch o Familiar with Apples Human Interface guidelines and App Store review guidelines o Proficient with Javascript, at least one open source web framework and building hybrid mobile apps o Experience with XML and JSON o Experience using JavaScript and jQuery with server side technology o Expert knowledge of HTML5 and CSS3 o Expert knowledge of accessibility and WCAG2 AA compliance Preferred Skills: o Working knowledge of building user interfaces using Storyboards and Auto Layout o Fair knowledge of data structures, algorithms and designing for performance o Mobile development for web and on native platforms (iOS, Android) o React.JS o Grunt o Node Education/Certifications: 5+ years of professional experience in web development or a related field   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
