JSP/Servlets JDBC Weblogic Oracle 11g PLSQL Java EE Developer (Jobs in Sacramento,   Requirement id 7925 Job title Developer Job location in Sacramento, CA Skills required JSP/Servlets, JDBC, Weblogic, Oracle 11g PLSQL Java EE Open Date 10-Jan-2012 Close Date Job type Contract Duration 5 Months Compensation DOE Status requirement --- Job interview type ---    Email Recruiter: coolsoft Job Description Developer: JSP/Servlets, JDBC, Weblogic, Oracle 11g PLSQL Java EE [Note : Submission Deadline : 5:00 p.m. on January 17, 2012] [Note : Start Date : February 1, 2012 End Date : June 30, 2012] PROJECT SCOPE/TASKS : The scope of this project encompasses the following tasks: • Provide development support in writing and updating Java language code, Java EE and distributed programming (multi-tier architecture) for online and batch application • Translate technical specifications and/or physical design into code for my|CalPERS enhancements and changes • Identify and resolve defects using the configuration management tools and processes • Create and modify batch jobs for the my|CalPERS application using the batch framework • Write Oracle Structure Query Language (SQL) and read the data models • Create and update web services using Java technology components • Create modify, and interpret XML code and documents • Create and modify Cognos reports for the my|CalPERS application • Lead JAD facilitation techniques for gathering requirements and performing requirement analysis • Participate in test inspections throughout life cycle to identify issues and verify methodology compliance of the my|CalPERS application • Develop and support key business processes including retirement benefit processing (roll, estimates, adjustments, and allowances), and pre and post-retirement death functionality. • Support implementation and deployment of production release activities • Provide training and mentoring to CalPERS staff as needed and appropriate MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS : • Experience and ability to develop, maintain and enhance complex and innovative programs using Java (Java EE), JSP/Servlets, JUnit, JavaScript, JDBC, BEA Weblogic, XML, CSS and HTML. • Knowledge and experience developing in Object Oriented and web interface applications • Knowledge and experience using Spring with MVC Framework, Spring Web Services, Tiles Framework • Knowledge and experience with Oracle 11g, PL/SQL, Quest TOAD for Oracle tool • Knowledge and experience using Eclipse IDE or similar tool • Knowledge or experience using Clear Case; Clear Quest or similar configuration tools • Knowledge and experience using Unix (Shell programming), Linux • Knowledge and experience using performance tuning techniques in writing SQL • Proficiency with the SDLC methodology • JAD facilitation and conducting design and code peer reviews (5 years) • Experience translating technical specifications and/or physical design into code enhancements and changes (5 years) • Strong analytical skills for evaluating business needs and developing innovative solutions • Ability to work independently and as part of a team • Ability to work effectively with all levels of technical staff and management • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in written form DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS : • Knowledge of public pension systems. • Knowledge/experience with Governmental Retirement Benefits Programs functions and processes similar to CalPERS • UML Modeling • Knowledge and experience with ILog JRules • Knowledge and experience with Web Services, COTS integration, and design patterns • Knowledge and experience using Workflow/Oracle BPEL • Knowledge and experience with Adobe LiveCycle • Knowledge and experience using Cognos BI Reporting Authoring • Strong leadership skills with ability to multi-task, to use tact and to employ good judgment   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
