Job Description Engineer: Application Testing, Java, C++, Shell Script Automated Testing Python QT

Description:

Technical Lead QA Engineer (Long term contract)

The Lead QA Engineer should possess strong testing skills (including test case design and automation), experience testing Java based portals, excellent project management, and automation skill. The tasks include designing test strategies and test plans, automating functional and performance test cases, developing and reviewing test cases, and leading test execution efforts with remote QA teams.

Responsibilities:

· Evaluate and review software requirements with Developers, Business System Analyst (BSA) and Remote QA team to define a release test plan to thoroughly test the products.

· Lead QA project planning and execution across multiple IT/Engineering projects with remote QA Team.

· Co-ordinate and manage the QA task between on-site and offshore QA team

· Generate and write clear and concise Test summary reports, and weekly status reports.

· Communicate regular updates to management and key stakeholders on test progress and product quality.

· Define the areas to automation in the project and drive automation effort.

· Enhance our current automation tool set and improve utilization of automation wherever applicable

· Assist in the planning and implementation of QA team strategy and process improvements

· Assess our current processes and test coverage, recommend improvement

Skills Required:

· 7+ Years of web application testing experience

· 2+ year of managing and coordinating with Offshore QA team

· Ability to work on multiple releases and multiple products at the same time

· Ability to drive ongoing automation efforts using Selenium, Waitr, QTP, Java, Python, Perl, C, C++, and Shell Scripts.

· Good team player with excellent organizational, communication, and documentation skills

· Self-starter and ability to adapt and learn new things

· Educated to Bachelors degree level or equivalent in Computer Science or related field
