We have a 9-month project with our client in NYC, NY that requires an Oracle SQL Developer Day-to-Day Tasks include, but not limited to: Designs, develops, programs, and implements in assigned project utilizing Oracle PL/SQL. The developer must be verse in WEB environment, JAVA, and BI Publisher. Knowledge of JAVA/J2EE, Java Server Pages, Java Script, BI Publisher is helpful. Works with the business analysts and Development Manager to program the specifications. Adhere to the existing data pull requirements and specifications provided by the reporting team lead. Uses ad-hoc queries and debugging tools such as TOAD to investigate data issues in various source systems. Documents project-specific source access mechanisms, detailed data flow and related information to specific targets Uses ad-hoc queries and various database tools to create reports, data pulls and presentations as well as support various data analysis needs. Estimates the timeframe to implement the specifications Prepares project plan and provides updates to supervisor Participates in IEPD (Information Exchange Package Documentation) meetings Provides programming as well as support and design documentation Conducts unit testing Conducts integration testing Works with PM to perform the necessary changes through methodologies such as Agile. Transfers knowledge of assigned projects and code to ACS personal via one on one Elaborating on SDLC and PMO procedures based on industry best practices, PMI recommendations, research, and other general experience, Executing project adjustments as agency business requirements, scope, and budget demand. Preferred Qualifications: Minimum of 6 years experience with writing application software, data analysis, data access, data structures, data manipulation, databases, design, programming, testing and implementation, technical and user documentation, software conversions; available to assist and/or lead in the design of program specifications and the implementation of software solutions Minimum 4 years and experience in developing reports in Oracles PL/SQL which also includes writing Stored Procedures/Functions and experience in the design, development, programming, and implementation of IT applications utilizing relational databases. 2 years backend experience with Java/J2EE, Java Script, Java Server Pages. High level knowledge of BI Publisher will be helpful. High level knowledge XML, XML Schema, XSLT, JAXB, EJB, JMS, HTML, DHTML, JSTI, JAXP, TFS J2EE Design Patterns, MVC, Spring, Ajax, helpful. 1-year Java programming experience with in-depth knowledge of web technologies. 1-year experience working with Web-logic. 2 years experience with Toad or similar tool. Experience in creation of design documents. Quick to learn, self-motivated, and enthusiastic; work well within a team environment and with minimal supervision. Comfortable working with clearly defined project plans and contributing estimates to the planning process. Able to meet and deliver on deadlines and work well under pressure. Strong customer and quality-focus. Sound problem resolution, judgment, and decision-making skills. Knowledge of and experience with working on common design patterns and industry standards.
