Job Description Engineer: IT Professional, Java, Java Developer,

Codes software applications to adhere to designs supporting internal business requirements or external customers. Standardizes the quality assurance procedure for software. Oversees testing and develops fixes. May require a bachelors degree in a related area and at least 5years of experience in the field or in a related area. Has knowledge of standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Works under general supervision. A certain degree of creativity and latitude required.

Project: Developer will assist with mail routing platform and developing an SMS mail store.

Contract - initially until end of 2014 with the option to extend
Location: Philadelphia, PA (center city)
Start Date: on or soon after 9/24/2014

Project: Internal email platform support (the anti-abuse engineering team) - due to a recent merger and acquisition, seeking a Senior Engineer to support the architecture, development and support of a software tool (Cloudmark) that assists with mail routing for spam protection and the like.

Day to Day Tasks:
Initially work with team to understand proprietary applications and systems. Once up to speed expects this person to be able to analyze, support, engineer and possible re-engineer applications for the group related to their internal email platform, specifically for mail routing. Looking for a quick learner and someone with a diverse background in open source programming languages like Java. This is not a pure Java Developer role, it is more of a software engineer that is a master with no languages, but has been exposed to many languages to deem what is appropriate for each situation.
