Understands the various types of tools and technologies on the market and their appropriate usage. Can design an entire system configuration including hardware, software, and communications. Can lead a tool evaluation effort, including the definition of the evaluation criteria, identification of tools to be evaluated, and the actual evaluation. Can work with various platforms, including mainframes, minis and micros. Can define a total disaster recovery plan and present the client with various options. Applies, as appropriate, activity and data modeling, transaction/workflow analysis, internal control and risk analysis and modern business methods, and performance measurement techniques. Provides technical direction to personnel performing systems analysis and system/ subsystem development tasks. Coordinates and performs logical and physical systems design. Reviews and prepares system documents and specifications. Prepares reports, studies, and documentation, delivers presentations, and participates in meetings Required Skills: Java and Eclipse. Exposure to OpenL a plus. Looking for individuals with 3-5 years of experience. They should have at least 2 years of experience with Java to be considered. Minimum of Java 1.4 would be sufficient, but simply knowledge of core Java is more important. Knowledge of XML is a plus. Eclipse is the development environment so experience using it is required. OpenL is a framework used to effectively simplify development so exposure to it would be a big plus but not mandatory. As a PLUS/PLUS if anyone has PROPERTY INSURANCE EXPERIENCE they will have huge preference as knowledge of the business makes a better developer.
