Extensive development work experience is required to design, develop and test application/ interfaces. The ideal candidate should have strong analytical, problem solving, and communication skills with a keen attention to detail to provide web development support to enable design, development, and implementation for the project. DESCRIPTION OF WORK: Provide web development support to the government client and enable design, development, and implementation for the iTOPSS project and any upcoming projects. Oversees business/user requirements efforts as part of a full systems development lifecycle and provide critical technical recommendations/solutions for complex problems. Directs the business process reengineering and/or business/user requirements efforts for major projects and contribute to technical and design discussions Mentor developers and provide technical documentation support. Designing and developing user interfaces / applications by setting expectations and feature priorities throughout development life cycle; determining design methodologies and tool sets; completing programming using languages and software products; designing and conducting tests. Participate in customer team meetings and conversations with client personnel to understand business and technical requirements. Recommend system solutions by comparing advantages and disadvantages of custom development. Mentor junior developers and provide technical documentation support. Plan for and conduct implementation activities. Compile periodic reports and interface on a daily/weekly basis with customer and Northrop Grumman management. Demonstrate strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate technical topics to management and non-technical audiences, as well as interface with the customer on a daily basis. Ability and willingness to work in tough deadlines. Ensure secure coding practices are adhered to in all phases of the secure development lifecycle. REQUIRED TECHNICAL SKILLS: Minimum 7 years of experience with Java and JEE technologies including EJBs. 5 plus years of Object Oriented Analysis skills with experience in design documentation 5 years of experience in Object Relational Mapping technologies like JPA/Hibernate and in in SOA and web service technologies 5 years of experience working on Struts framework and writing complex SQL queries. 5 years of database experience with relational database systems like DB2, Oracle 5 years of experience using the IDEs like RAD, RSA and in using client side tools such as Javascript, JQuery and Ajax PREFERRED TECHNICAL SKILLS: Candidates with these skills will be given preferential consideration. Experience with reverse engineering projects Experience on Linux/Unix platforms Experience with Mainframe technologies including CICS, COBOL, DB2 is a plus. Experience working with Government contracts is preferred. Knowledge of SSA business process and systems is huge plus. Excellent documentation and diagramming skills; Must have development, design and production support experience. Strong communication skills and ability to interface with the client. Must have the ability to contribute to design and architecture discussions. Must have strong analytical, problem solving, and documentation skills. Ability and willingness to work in tough deadlines. Must be proficient in MS Word, MS Project, MS Power Point, and MS Visio. Knowledge of System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
