Support implementation and deployment of production release activities Peer review code for team members and provide timely feedback Provide technical documentation as needed Provide training and mentoring to CalPERS staff as needed and appropriate MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Senior Programmer: Functions at the expert level under the general direction of the project manager or technical leader, designing the logic for and writing lines of code of a computer program. Can act in a lead capacity on complex projects, or can work independently or on a team as a high level technical specialist. Must have a minimum of five (5) years experience in electronic data processing systems study, design, and programming; at least three (3) years of said experience shall have included responsibility on a project basis for analyzing operational methods and developing computer programs to meet desired results, at least two (2) years of said experience must have been at a high level both technically and in measure of responsibility. Must have knowledge of electronic computer programming; electronic data processing equipment and its capabilities; principles and techniques of studying work processes for new or revised electronic computer applications; principles of designing methods of processing data; technical report writing; statistical methods. Must have the ability to write complex programs and develop detailed program specifications; analyze data and situations, reason logically and creatively, identify problems, draw valid conclusions, and develop effective solutions. Must have the ability to apply creative thinking in the design and development of methods of processing data. Must have a minimum of five (5) years experience developing, maintaining and enhancing complex and innovative programs using Java (J2EE), JSP/Servlets, JavaScript, JDBC, BEA Weblogic Must have a minimum of five (5) years experience developing, maintaining and enhancing complex and innovative programs using XML, CSS and HTML Must have a minimum of three (3) years experience with Oracle 11g, PL/SQL, SQL Must have a minimum of three (3) years experience writing JUnits Knowledge and experience using Spring with MVC Framework, Spring Web Services Must have a minimum of three (3) years   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
