Java Oracle XHTML HTML Developer (Jobs in Salt Lake City, UT)   Requirement id 4855 Job title Developer Job location in Salt Lake City, UT Skills required Java, Oracle, XHTML, HTML Open Date 14-Jun-2011 Close Date Job type Contract Duration 12 Months Compensation DOE Status requirement --- Job interview type ---    Email Recruiter: coolsoft Job Description Developer: Java, Oracle, XHTML, HTML [note :] Primary Job Responsibilities Job Scope: · Owns and is accountable for the design and development of a product feature or sub-system · Spends most of the time developing code, and efficiently produces elegant, clean code with no unnecessary complication or abstraction; appreciation for simple code, avoids over-architecting · Code is well-commented, easy to maintain, and can be reused across a sub-system or feature · Code may persist for the lifetime of a software version · Code is thoroughly tested with very few bugs, and is supported by unit tests · Able lead feature or sub-system design reviews and code reviews and be recognized as the go-to developer for that component · Participates in architecture discussions, proposes and discusses solutions to system and product changes that are directly related to their area of focus Interaction: · Frequently interfaces with other functional teams on all aspects of a feature or sub-system · Influences management on product direction, particularly related to their area of focus and expertise · Provides leadership to others, particularly junior engineers who work on the same team or related features or product sub-systems Supervision: · Receives direction in terms of the desired outcome or strategic objectives · Can be given new feature or subsystem assignments with minimal supervision; able to establish working relationships that enable self-direction in gathering requirements and scoping work · May coordinate activities of junior engineers assigned to the same feature or subsystem Job Requirements Skills: · Expert Java developer, including solid experience with JSP and Tag Libraries, JPA, Hybernate or other ORM Frameworks, and Junit, · Solid understanding of SQL, Oracle, and ETL processes; experience interfacing with Oracle, including calling stored procedures, etc. · Solid understanding of XHTML (including validation and compliance), HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, and AJAX, including cross-browser compatibility solutions · Expert in MVC, design patterns, and UX design principles · Extensive experience with Service Oriented Architectures, including both creating and consuming REST, XML, and WSDL/SOAP interfaces · Prefer experience with the following: Grails, Groovy, GSP, Spring Components including IoC, Spring Security, data security and PCI compliance, PHP, MySQL, Hudson, Unix/Linux, Windows Server/IIS system administration, localization and internationalization · Also prefer experience with billing and payment systems · Solid experience developing Java solutions for high-volume, high-transaction, environments · Experience with scrum/agile development methodologies, test-driven development, and continuous integration · Ability to clearly create and document software designs that are generally correct and to consider the broad implications of the design upon larger systems · Correctly estimates software schedules and can be relied upon to deliver features and sub-systems on time and to requirements, without quality issues · Works well within a team, and contributes effectively to the success of those that they interact with regularly · Proven track-record for managing projects and of mentoring and leading other team members · Basic mastery of feature or subsystem reusability, modularity, or scaling · Understands and is able to reason about the business, as it relates to their area of experti   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
