Job Description Developer: QA Engineer, Java, SaaS, Test Automation REST And SOAP Services S

Test Automation Developer to fulfill a contract role with our Brea, CA client. The candidate will design and build advanced automated test suites, as well as implement and execute automation strategies on all supported platforms and languages to help improve overall quality and test code coverage.

Additional Responsibilities:

Define, implement and maintain test plans, test specifications and test suites
Participate in product feature and infrastructure engineering design reviews
Certify product feature releases through automation
Reviewing the non-automation test cases and planning what can be automated and what cannot be automated
Assisting developers with issue analysis
Developing automated test scripts, test frameworks, and testing tools as part of a QA Scrum team
Identifying risk and proposing risk mitigation strategies
Setting and meeting schedule estimates, timelines, and milestones
Managing stakeholder expectations
Identifying issues and generating issue reports
Setup the automation frame work and execute the scripts for operational projects and new projects

Position Requirements:

BS in Computer Science or related field
5+ years QA Engineer experience
Working knowledge of test methodologies, processes and tools
Experience programming in Java
Experience with Selenium
Experience testing APIs using automation tools
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, multi-tasking, troubleshooting and decision-making skills
Hands-on experience with automation test methodologies, automation test frameworks, tools, and techniques
Experience testing websites, SAAS systems, or web-based technologies.
Experience with web services automation and load testing tools (ex. NeoLoad or SOAPUI).
Experience with SQA automation and load testing tools (ex. Selenium, Mercury LoadRunner, Mercury QTP, Watir, WebTest, Silktest, TestComplete).
Experience building or testing REST or SOAP services.
Experience creating test cases and testing documentation with or without requirements/specifications.
Solid understanding of the Agile or SCRUM development process and software release processes.
Solid understanding of QA processes, approaches, methodologies and software development lifecycle.
Strong ability in root cause analysis of issues, resolving testing issues, and driving issues to closure.
Must be self-directed, detail-oriented and have excellent written & verbal communication skills
