Job Description: Lead Development Engineer III 18-24 month contract planned Fully Remote Overview Our team is looking for a senior level lead engineer who can design/document requirements for an integration system from current sources to a Cloud based solution. We are looking for someone who is versed in the common cloud services and someone who can both design and build the integration. Project Information Our client is shifting from SAP to Oracle Retek as part of their Merchandizing Planning Suite (MSP) upgrade. They will be standing up a series of out-of-box Retek tools/solutions to capture and make use of pertinent supply chain data. The focus for this LoE is file abstraction, flat file transformation, and API development. The final deliverable will be a detailed abstraction layer design that captures all hierarchy and metric information from current sources. The data end-point will be an Oracle Science platform called: Retail Science Platform. Longer term, this effort is the first of four projects slated for this year. The resources we provide will carry over across all projects. Responsibilities: Acquiring and transforming the data Understand the data needed for the applications, determine the source of the data, then acquire the data from those sources After it is acquired, then build out planning extraction layer Transform the data to make sure it meets the needs of planning applications Provide a solution in architecture for this planning extraction layer Leverage public cloud services Requirements: 7+ years of Java and Spring Development Experience 5+ years of experience utilizing SQL 5+ years of experience utilizing Oracle Databases Experience as engineer working on an Oracle Database Integration Senior experience both in design and development of REST APIs from scratch Experience as a Lead Developer/Engineer in an enterprise level environment Extremely strong communication skills with an ability to translate design decisions and ideas to their technical team.
