Job Description Developer: VB.Net, Java, WSDL, Visual Studio MQ Series XML SOAP

Description :

Scope of Work and Expectations :

The developers will perform detailed analysis, system and component design, programming, unit testing, environment management, configuration management, installation-deployments, troubleshooting and problem resolution as well as their key responsibility for application development coding.
The developers will serve as technical specialists during system implementation as they interact with L&Is Maintenance and Operations teams.
These developer roles and skills will require a thorough understanding of Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) and middleware (MQ Series) along with advanced technical knowledge of developing the application interfaces. These developers will be responsible for aligning to L&I UI standards, SOA standards, and other architecture standards. The expectation will be to deliver a high quality application solution with acceptable performance.
The current project team consists of a project manager, a business analyst, a systems analyst, and a solutions architect.
Brief descriptions of the expected duties, services and/or other requirements are defined below. The vendor(s) selected will conduct the body of work required under L&I leadership. The descriptions below are not intended to completely describe all of the work that the candidates would need to perform to complete the work required under work orders resulting from this Work Request. The duties are expected to include, but are not limited to, the following:
• Use programming languages and technologies, including but not limited to: VB.NET, Java, Visual Studio, ASP.NET, Team Foundation Server, MQSeries, XML and SOAP to develop application interfaces.
• Maintain operating system software and administer upgrades, as needed.
• Debug, investigate and resolve problems.
• Monitor, ensuring efficient and reliable operations, and create system documentation.
• Coordinate pre-production and production code drops.
• Coordinate design, maintenance and testing activities. Investigate incidents for production problems, when assigned.
• Determine best and most appropriate alternatives for computer systems to meet customer needs.
• Translate business requirements into development specifications and application code.
• Coordinate with customers to define, develop, test and implement business and system requirements.
• Monitor specific database management system, conducting unit and integration testing.
• Assist in identifying, analyzing, and resolving system performance issues.
