* This position is currently remote. However, position status is subject to change.

* Hybrid/On Site positions: Local candidates or willing to relocate at the candidates expense. No designated work-space will be assigned however, selected candidate must be available to work at our location as needed. DCF work location is 201 W. Washington Ave., Madison, WI 53703. DCF does not pay for travel time or reimburse for travel expenses.

Description :

The Bureau of Operations and Planning (BOP) is responsible for the ongoing development and facilitation of statewide training programs to ensure compliance and integrity of child care regulation, Wisconsin Shares and Young Star programs. BOP also coordinates training services within the Division of Early Care Education (DECE), the Department of Children and Families (DCF), the Department of Health Services (DHS), Milwaukee Economic Support, (MilES), W-2 Agencies, Provider Organizations, Parent and Advocate organizations, and other internal and external organizations as necessary. These trainings include but are not limited to the mandatory Wisconsin Shares New Worker Training, Eligibility and Authorization Refresher Trainings, Program Integrity Training, Young Star Technical Consultant Training and Child Care Provider Inclusion Training.
Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Design and direct the development of training materials based upon training needs resulting from program changes; integrating changes into existing training curricula and materials and/or the need for new training programs or training curriculum, including but not limited to the production of in-person training, computer-based training, webinars, video teleconferencing, user guides, job aids, manuals, and other training resource materials.
• Utilize appropriate adult education principles and methods design in developing training programs or curriculum for DCF and local agencies program workers.
• Develop and ensure effective new worker and refresher training for eligibility workers in DHS and staff within MilES.
• Coordinate training efforts with staff at Milwaukee Early Care and Administration (MECA). Ensure new worker and refresher trainings are effective and updated according to changes in policy and procedure.
• Design and develop training materials, job aids, and instructional formats for use by DECEs new and ongoing employees.
• Develop evaluation methods to assess learners knowledge and gather data on training effectiveness. Design and coordinate formative, summative, formal, and informal evaluations. Create online, paper, and behavior-based assessments. Apply evaluation results to continuously improve training content and facilitation.
