Duties: • Develop, maintain and troubleshoot the existing applications. Perform object-oriented analysis, design using J2EE best practices. • Perform unit testing by preparing test data, conducting test runs, and reviewing input and output data. • Participate in design reviews and identify potential mitigation strategies for technical risks. • Develop Web Service integration solutions. • Document approach and core design artifacts along with unit test results. • Configure WebLogic application server to support the deployment of Enterprise Applications and Services. • Identify potential design enhancements. • Develop Architectural Proofs of Concept to demonstrate practical business agile solutions and evolve core architectural constructs. • Measure compliance against standards. • Report status against the project plan. • Able to work some flexible hours, as required by Project Manager and or team lead, to meet project deadlines. • Maintain and deliver complete project documentation in clear and comprehensive manner. • Possess ability to communicate clearly with project team. • Work with a disciplined change management and application management environment. • Work independently with minimal direct supervision and/or direction. • Work within a group and collaborative team dynamic under the direction of the Project Manager and or team lead. • Able to juggle multiple initiatives as required by the Project Manager. • Prepares transition documents for required applications. • Provides training and guidance on applications/tech-stack for the team. • Designing reusable Java components, frameworks and libraries • Working closely with architecture group and driving solutions • Troubleshooting production support issues post-deployment and drive solutions • Demonstrating substantial depth of knowledge and experience in Java/J2EE development Qualifications: • B.Sc. in Computer Science or related Engineering is required, a masters degree is desirable from an accredited university. • 3-5 years of proven, hands-on track-record as a software engineer, focused on cloud-based systems • Mastery of Java programming language. You must have strong Java Development skills, preferably with Ver. 1.8 • Experience of J2EE technologies, design principals, Spring, Hibernate is required • Knowledge of developing cloud-based services (SaaS) and platforms (PaaS), AWS etc. • Excellent understanding of distributed systems, designing for scalability, performance and availability • Experience of establishing non-functional best-practices and deploying supporting technologies for improving platform security (including audit) and reliability (latency, availability, scalability) • Knowledge of distributed network architectures and network security is required • Good knowledge of data persistence technologies including relational databases • Excellent interpersonal and technical communication with peers, and non-peers alike, with a can-do attitude • Ability to work independently, handle multiple tasks simultaneously and adapt quickly to changes • Preferred knowledge of health care systems, policies and health care data including HIPAA and government agency regulations.   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
