Job Description Developer: Java/J2EE, TDD, SOAP, CICD API Jaxws SOAPUIWSDL JMS SCRUM

Note :

Will prioritize local candidates to Columbus, Ohio first.

Description:

Design, develop, document, test, and debug new and existing software systems and/or applications for market sale or large-scale proprietary software for internal use. Use Java programming language and related software development technologies such as Java 2 Enterprise Edition (J2EE), JavaServer Pages (JSP)/Servlets, or JavaServer Faces (JSF). Serve as technical expert on development projects. Participate in full development life cycle including requirements analysis and design. Write technical specifications based on conceptual design and stated business requirements. Support, maintain, and document software functionality. Identify and evaluate new technologies for implementation. Analyze code to find causes of errors and revise programs as needed. Participate in software design meetings and analyze user needs to determine technical requirements. Consult with end-user to prototype, refine, test, and debug programs to meet needs. Career-Development position within field. Requires moderate skill sets and developing proficiency within discipline. Conducts tasks and assignments as directed. Works under moderate supervision with some latitude for independent judgment. Typically requires four to five years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of experience and education.

Minimum Requirements:
Education: Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, or Associates Degree with 4-8 years IT Software Developer related experience or High School Diploma/GED with 6 years IT Software Developer experience.
Experience: 4-8 years IT Software Developer experience (in addition to any experience identified above). Technical knowledge usually acquired from an educational institution or through equivalent work experience.

Team Overview:
We are looking for a new team member to expand the current Scrum team in order to deliver value to customers faster. As a new team member you will be working on developing Java applications in Scrum, i.e. be accountable (together with all team members) for the quality and delivery of potentially releasable increments by the end of each Sprint. We are an Integrations team that uses a wide range of Java technologies to communicate with multiple external systems. You can expect to be involved in all parts of design, testing, and delivery. We are aggressively pursuing a DevOps culture and Continuous Integration (CI)/Continuous Delivery (CD) approach.

Required Experience:
• 5+ years of hands on Java/J2EE development;
• Practical application of Test Driven Development (TDD);
• 1+ years with Java Messaging Service (JMS) in an application server context;
• 1+ years of SOAP and JAX-WS Web Service development experience;
• Database experience (Oracle and DB2);
• Experience building java batch processes for large volume transactions;
• Experience with building CI/CD pipelines in Jenkins;
• Java Persistence API (JPA) for object to relational mapping, database access from Java project;
• SoapUI experience.

Additional Experience would be helpful:
• Docker, Containerization;
• Experience working on a Scrum team;
• Git;
• JUnit, Mocking, Service Virtualizations;
• Unix/Linux shell scripting;
• WebLogic Application Server background;
• Working with Apache Camel;
• Working with complex queries;
• Working with MQ Series queues;
• Writing XSL stylesheets for message transformation.
