At our eCommerce client, they build 6 of the retail industries leading websites across all their brands. Engineers get to work across the entire functional domain. The full-stack engineer will work to extend our beautiful front-end user experience all the way through to enterprise services that support personalization, order management and other server side features. As a Software Engineer in the Ecommerce organization youll join a Scrum team building features and automated tests of those features. Youll work closely with other engineers and Product Managers to understand user stories and develop the features. Key Job Functions Assist Product Managers in designing and defining new features Work with Architecture to craft technical designs and drive the evolution of our site architecture Write code that is of high quality and consistent with our coding standards Write automated tests of new features to ensure they are of very high quality Work with other lead engineers and architects in crafting technical designs Review the work of other engineers in a collegial fashion to ensure the work product is of high quality and consistent with our standards Participate in, and potentially lead, Communities-of-Practice in those technologies in which you have an interest Participate in continuous education programs to grow your skills both technically and in the business domain Serve as a member of a Scrum team and participate in all planning, stand-up and retrospective meetings Requirements 8+ years of experience as a professional software engineer 4-6 years experience Java and web technologies An understanding of software development best practices Enthusiasm for constant improvement as a Software Engineer Ability to contribute to, review and understand proposed designs and offer thoughtful feedback Ability to communicate clearly and effectively both verbally and in writing Strong vanilla JavaScript skills is a must Familiarity with Web Components a plus Experience using front-end unit testing tools like Mocha/Chai, Jasmine, Jest, Web Component Tester is a must Experience with Lit HTML a plus (likely had by engineers who have use React in the past) Experience with SASS, LESS or similar tools is a must Each candidate needs to complete the coding challenge prior to being submitted.
