Job Description : Overview: Their POS is the same Darden uses, old Toshiba POS that has been augmented over the years. This project is rewriting a large part of the POS system. The strategical focus is updating their UI so they can develop a new UI that can fit on an Android/iOS tablet - used on server by guests and are looking to replace their current POS system, which is going to be SOAP based web services. They are also looking on revamping of their printer system and purchasing new hardware to write new software based web services for this new POS and printer system. This role will be a mix of enhancements/maintenance/new development on a new application. Team/Culture: 4 Java developers on their DASH team/POS. They do have a 2-man QA team, different room, same floor, who they work closely with when they do deployments. There is also one other DASH person who works on deployments/configurations (5 people altogether on Kellys team). Tech Environment: 5+ years of programming/analysis experience - looking for a senior full-stack Java resource. Candidates should not expect to do full documentation and design documentation of their work, must be out of the box thinkers. Communication is key. Currently working in Java 8 or 9, but they are trying to go to 11. Utilizing SQL Server on database side must be able to write queries, triggers and stored procedures. Utilizing spring framework and Eclipse. Utilizing SOAP for web services - must be strong here. If they have REST experience great, but must also have SOAP. If they have android/iOS development background, it would put them above the rest. They may not always utilize Java when SOAPing and want to do UI through something other than Java, which is why C# experience is preferred. Must Haves: 5+ years Full-stack Java experience (v.7, v.8 or v.9) - must be proficient in all tiers 5+ years SOAP web services experience SQL Server - write queries, stored procedures, triggers, etc. Proficient in Spring Frameworks and Eclipse Proficient with XML (XSD, XSLT, XPATH, XQuery) Nice to Haves: Android/iOS development experience POS System experience C# .NET experience CXF Web Services Visual Studio Team Services Swing Windows Batch/Power Shell JSP/JavaScript Knowledge of Maven Middleware – MuleSoft Knowledge of restaurant business   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
