We are looking for an individual with expertise in Java, JavaScript, React, and Redux. Demonstrates up-to-date expertise in modern software development practices. Application Development • Works on a cross functional agile team to perform all duties outlined below • Actively participates in team meetings as needed (daily stand-up, planning, retrospective, etc.) • Follows all standards and best practices as defined by NAIC/NIPR solution architects. • Follows NAIC/NIPR accepted guidelines on version control for all technical development. • Proficient in application design, development languages, security, and tools. • Proficient in unit and integration testing. • Participates in code reviews. • Provides technical and architectural direction to improve existing code bases. • Troubleshoots and resolves data and application software problems as assigned. • Operates under minimal supervision within a collaborative team environment. • Provides excellent customer service to NAIC/NIPR customers, both internally and externally. • Displays willingness to work effectively and learn from more experienced staff. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES No supervisory responsibilities. EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIRED Bachelors degree (B.A.) in Computer Science or Associates Degree in Applied Science specific to Computer Science; two to five years related work experience; or an equivalent combination of education and work experience. Required Knowledge / Experience • Java • JavaScript and Single Page Application frameworks (e.g. React/Redux) • Spring / Spring Boot • REST Service Design • Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI / CD) • SQL, relational databases • Source control systems (Git, Subversion, etc.) Recommended Knowledge / Experience • AWS basic competency • NoSQL • JBoss / Tomcat • Docker / Kubernetes   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
