Perform requirements gathering necessary to design and build enterprise monitoring solutions for DoITT infrastructure/applications. Perform analysis and make recommendations on design that meets industry best practice for monitoring. Develop, design, and present details for engineers and management. This includes, but is not limited to: Visio diagrams, bill of materials, and technical specifications with custom configuration to meet the DoITT steady state operations needs. Perform the installation/patching of all required system software for the monitoring system. Validate the system for functionality, performance, fault tolerance and operational readiness. Work closely with operational support teams such as Network, Windows, and Unix to provide a holistic monitoring solution. Execute detailed network/server discovery, device monitoring, topology visualization, and root cause analysis (RCA) capabilities. Identify issues, develop and maintain processes that address and resolve them, and communicate/alert stakeholders as needed. Upgrade ScienceLogic environment to make enhancements and troubleshoot issues. Configure and develop custom components with technology partners (analysts, developers, designers, etc.) to meet requirements and goals. Ensure applications are free of common coding vulnerabilities and follow standard security practices. Proactively put forward ideas that speak to project objectives (e.g., development, testing solutions, and tools). Complete unit, integration testing, and UAT. Stay on top of state-of-health monitoring and SLA targets. Mandatory Qualifications: 8+ years of experience as Monitoring and Event Management engineer 6+ years hands-on implementation experience using Microsoft Azure, Amazon, and other cloud technologies 6+ years API development 5+ years SQL experience Extensive Knowledge of ScienceLogic EM7 monitoring solution (Collectors, Database, Admin Portal, PowerFlow) Extensive knowledge of ScienceLogic Dynamic Applications development and integration using Python Extensive knowledge of event management Extensive knowledge of ScienceLogic PowerFlow system integration with ServiceNow Extensive knowledge of Dynatrace Application Performance Manager (collectors, gateway) Extensive knowledge of ThousandEyes monitoring products Extensive knowledge of ServiceNow event management Experience with Perl, PowerShell, XML, JavaScript, C#, and Linux/Unix Shell scripting Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and OpenShift Preferred Qualifications: Extensive engineering experience within a large-scale, complex Manager-of-Managers monitoring environment Extensive knowledge in Networking, IT Security, and Monitoring technologies Extensive knowledge of Syslog/SNMP v2/3 trap forwarding/receiving/configuration and integration with monitoring tools Extensive knowledge of email integration with monitoring tools Extensive knowledge of API integration with monitoring tools Extensive knowledge of automation, i.e., automating common repeatable tasks Extensive knowledge to diagnose and solve complex technical issues Working knowledge of DNS, TCP/IP, SNMP, HTTP, syslog, DR setup and other protocols Working Knowledge of ITOM, ITSM, and ITIL framework and concepts (Incident, Change, Asset Management) Experience in setting up monitoring profiles, polling policies and thresholds Experience working with Windows, Unix/Linux, virtualization technologies and ap   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
