Specific tools used will include GWT, Java, RDF, OWL and XML. We are looking for someone who can contribute on all tiers of our applications. This person will work with a variety of teams and will be expected to help analyze requirements, develop designs, manage priorities in coordination with the software development team and larger project priorities, and perform unit tests and support ongoing QA efforts. Self-motivation, enthusiasm, and excellent planning and communication skills are required. BA/BS in computer, information science or equivalent work experience is required. At least five years of software development experience with multi-tier or distributed systems, Java, Web applications, Web services (REST, SOAP), XML technologies, relational databases are required. Experience with MySQL, Tomcat, Linux, Subversion, Maven is highly desirable. Experience working with both large and small teams is highly desirable. Experience working with technical leadership, sponsors and end users are highly desirable. Prior experience in the development of biomedical informatics applications and scientific software are highly desirable.
