This individual will be writing, executing and following test plans from start to finish by leading a team of individual testers. Story behind Need: POS in US and Canada processed ~2.5 billion transactions last fiscal year and continues to grow in functionality and reliability. SPC has a target to be in all Starbucks stores by the end of the year and the team needs support in manual testing in order to meet the demands to scale. This job contributes to success by assuring the high quality of information technology (IT) hardware and software prior to production rollout. Develops, maintains and executes quality assurance test scripts and checklists, reviews documentation and tracking of rollout activities and reports on status and final results of those activities. This CW will report directly to the engineering manager for the Strategic POS Solutions team, ultimately rolling up to POS Technology organization. Typical Day in the Role: 1. Just in time testing to understand the product capabilities and quality control 2. Automation testing for Integration 3. UI Automation 4. Engage in writing test cases for stories 6. Non Functional automation testing such as Load testing, Performance automation etc. • Develop and execute quality assurance test scripts, tests plan and checklists. • Strong understanding of project management or software development lifecycle methodologies like Scrum, Kanban, Waterfall & Agile. • Experience designing and developing integrated tests between components and across applications. • Experience with projects that sit across technology and other areas of the business and involved the adoption of associated business process changes that improved the overall organizational efficiency. • Attends project review meetings to provide input regarding all system functions and allow for planning of quality assurance testing on upcoming changes. • Creates and publishes reports on status and results of quality assurance testing activities. • Develops and maintains quality assurance test scripts, test plans and checklists starting at project design phase, for all current and new applications. • Organizes materials and acts as librarian for all quality assurance test scripts, procedures and materials. Candidate Requirements: MUST HAVES: Must have experience harnessing test automation from scratch Must be able to analyze existing automation framework Must have C# framework experience Must have significant experience with 1 of the following: Jenkins SpecFlow Cucumber Must have experience with BDD Must be able to work independently This is an AGILE team, the CW must be able to show what they have accomplished with a demo every 2 weeks. Communication is key, must be clear and concise in written and verbal communication. Team communicates via Slack and face to face. Must have experience with Confluence and JIRA 2+ years experience writing and executing test plans and leading test teams. 1+ years experience leading defect triage and communicating test execution status Proactive approach, willing to take the initiative and associated responsibility.
