You will work with a team focused on modernizing and delivering a robust user service portal that is primarily used by Micro Focus Pre-Sales and Partners to deliver customer facing sales demonstrations and proof of concepts with the automated demo delivery platform process including account management and demo session fulfillment (searching, requesting, provisioning, access, troubleshooting, extending, cancelling, etc.) Similarly you will work with the demo developers to align the functionality with their service delivery requirements within the platform. The core of the platform development will require out of the box troubleshooting concepts that leverage a wide range of skills including professional software development team work, system administration (Windows and Linux), networking administration (virtual and physical, VPN, Neutron,) and cloud/virtualization (AWS, Openstack, ESX, KVM, etc.) administration. The code base is primarily PHP with Drupal 8 and your expert skills in these technologies will build upon the foundational service bus to ensure proper function and delivery. Learning and/or already being familiar with Micro Focus Software products and solutions will also play a key role in the success of ensuring customer demos are delivered in the best way possible. Additionally you will play a key role in the future design of the platform by providing invaluable feedback and participating in the design and implementation of enhancements in areas such as core operational processes and architecture design decisions. Reporting up into HPE Software World Wide Sales, the team is a key contributor to increasing sales effectiveness as well as defining the future of Micro Focus. SUMMARY: Support the successful delivery of Agile Kanban based software development. Design, Write and Implement software develop for Drupal 8 PHP using highly specialized object orientated software that can be dynamically extended across the enterprise service bus architecture. Apply previous experience and existing full stack platform expertise skills to ensuring end-2-end integrations meet exact functional requirements. Provide subject matter expertise with Drupal, PHP, DevOps, Git, and CMS to guide future architecture design. Job requirements Job requirements include a college technical BS degree or higher (Computer Science preferred) with a solid technical background and a proven demonstrable track record or direct work experience, strong customer support skills, and excellent technical troubleshooting abilities. Expert knowledge and experience in Drupal, PHP, Bash, GIT, JIRA, Agile Development, System Administration, Cloud/Virtualization Management, Storage and Network Administration is required with recent experience being preferred. Knowledge of the Micro Focus products and solutions in general is preferred. Experience with and understanding of automation is desired as the foundation of the service bus highly leverage the orchestration engine. You need to be comfortable with complex systems, working technical projects, and thriving in a fast-moving, customer-focused environment. Your primary customers will be technical members of the sales organization, and you will work with all members of the demo team, Pre-Sales, partners, product marketing and product management to drive excellence in our deliverables.
