Job Description Tester: Software Testing Experience, Agile Software Development, Jira, XSD MQ HTTP SOAP Messaging Xpath ITKO Li

is recruiting SOA Tester for our premier retail client in Cincinnati. This is a 6+ month rolling contract opportunity with a thriving Fortune 50 organization. This tester will provide support in developing SOA/integration interface test plans and estimates, automated test script development, executing service test scripts, reporting/tracking defects. The Quality Engineer is responsible for managing quality and test related process execution with high impact to the business. This includes providing feedback on artifacts developed during requirements and analysis phase within DCP projects; authoring test plans and test cases; and performing test execution for both project and support related activities.

Required Skills:
Have 5+ years of overall software testing experience
Prior experience in Agile software development methodology (SAFe approach preferred)
Prior experience using Jira for defect tracking
Have a minimum 3 years experience with automated web services testing.
Possess in depth knowledge of SOA test automation framework, process, strategy, and approach
Demonstrate experience in validating XML, XSD, XPath Syntax, Web Services, MQ, Topics, REST, HTTP, SOAP Messaging, etc.
Show a strong understanding of Java and C programming fundamentals
Be very familiar with ITKO Lisa or similar automated test tool (e.g. ParaSoft SOA, Soap UI) to include:
Test script design and development
Testing web services designed to function in a Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) environment
Designing and writing automated test scripts
Be proficient in SQL and database concepts. SQL experience is a must - 2 years
Ability to succeed and focus in a fast paced environment with noise/distractions
Have own transportation as occasional travel between client locations is required
