Description :

The Testing Support staff is in charge of providing administrative support related to the implementation of the comprehensive assessment program and supporting the Districts direction regarding assessments. He/she supports the adherence to all State and Federal guidelines related to testing and performs detailed work that is confidential in nature. This position reports to the Director of Testing and Assessment.

The Testing Support Staff will be assigned the following duties.

Functions as the designated support staff for assessment-related functions, trainings, or the student information records, including troubleshooting, generating reports, and tracking administration.

Supports the coordination of test reports management, storage, and retrieval activities, including generating reports from assessment and maintains records management system for the department.

Supports the receipt and delivery of secure testing materials within and across Districts.

Provides administrative support including drafting memos, correspondence, forms, minutes, and other materials; Answers phones, schedules meetings and appointments, maintains calendars, orders supplies, and provides information regarding District testing policies and regulations.

Proofreads and reproduces documents, creates meeting packets, and compiles and organizes information for reports and archives.

Perform other duties as assigned by appropriate administrator.


EDUCATION: High School diploma or GED required. Bachelors degree preferred

CERTIFICATION/LICENSE: None

WORK EXPERIENCE: Two years of successful, relevant experience with administrative assistant; experience in the K-12 environment preferred.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES: Excellent written and verbal communication and customer service skills; keen attention to detail, takes initiative, and is organized; excellent skills with Microsoft Office and assessment platforms; ability to work successfully with colleagues, including school-based personnel, community members, and external customers; ability to support K-12 assessment administration; ability to project and generate positive attitudes; ability to apply continuous improvement strategies to program functions; can solve problems and make sound decisions; and ability to work well independently and within a team.
