Properly interpret payroll/financial information and identify discrepancies. Be able to obtain and evaluate all relevant financial information, process, and recommend approval for pay or adjustments for invoices previously paid. Spend time communicating with private prison accounting/leadership staff when needed to gather more information or rectify identified discrepancies. Prepare/generate reports of financial findings to communicate with Department of Correction leadership concerning the monthly payroll analysis and/or issues. Create and maintain a filing system for all reviews, reports, and communications for future reference in investigations, audits, and/or analyses. Skill Requirements: Must be familiar with Kronos or similar payroll processing systems. Must have keen attention to detail. Be well organized and have the ability to develop a proper approach when performing an analysis and/or audit. Proven work experience as a Forensic Accountant, Certified Public Accountant (CPA), or relevant role. Thorough knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Experience with forensic, public, or governmental accounting and financial procedures. Advanced skills in Excel. Strong investigative and analytical skills. Excellent numerical skills with an ability to spot inaccuracies in calculations. Ability to handle confidential information. Possess a BS degree in Accounting or Finance, Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), Certified Public Accountant (CPA), or Certified in Financial Forensics.   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
