Building And Maintaining VM start date:08/05/2016 submission deadline:08/01/2016 description: Reviews and maintains security, backup and recovery procedures for all supported platforms. Responsible for troubleshooting various distributed systems on multiple platforms. Design, contribute, develop, test, maintain and fully document all configuration and operational processes and procedures. Provide support with implementation of new or updated applications, and the testing of new systems. Works as lead in the implementation of new projects in relation to distributed environment and as part of a cross-functional operations team. Essential/Required Duties and Responsibilities: • Systems administration within all aspects of Windows server, virtualization, storage and mail server infrastructure, development of technical standards, authentication, security, and day to day support. • Maintain and support software release across distributed system platforms. • Implement vendor software, hardware patches, and security patches using these platforms. • Create and manage patch management policies and procedures. • Design and support infrastructure directory services, such as Microsoft Active Directory, LDAP authentication, group policy and DNS. • Oversee capacity planning and analyze system performance, implement improvements, event alerts, and availability reporting. • Review the current state environment and recommend changes on technology and process methodologies. Lead efforts to identify and recommend new hardware/software technologies. • Assist with any other Infrastructure duties and tasks that may be required. • Work a modified schedule as needed to perform after hour maintenance or deployments of new software or hardware. • Participate in scheduled disaster recovery exercises and on-call 24/7 coverage on a rotational basis. • Participate in security audits, perform tasks for compliance, and prepare documents on findings for annual audits. Follow industry standard security policies to secure the infrastructure. • Essential/Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education and Experience: • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience supporting Windows, Storage and VMware experience. • Strong knowledge and experience in the following areas: patch management, anti-virus suites, clustering, OS upgrades, security, system monitoring, and virtual environments. • In depth knowledge of Microsoft Windows 2008 and 2012 operating systems, VMware ESX Server in a heterogeneous environment. • Manages Active Directory architecture, administration, DNS, and security. • Microsoft Group Policy deployments to ensure standardized settings, software distribution, and security policy enforcement • MS SQL Server Database, BI, Data Marts & Warehouse, Analytics and Reporting. • Administers and configures IIS, message queuing, DNS, DHCP. • Knowledge of automation and scripting preferred. • Knowledge of web server (IIS and Apache). • Working knowledge of network management, security event management, intrusion detection and prevention systems, SSH, DNS, HTTP, SSL are a plus. • Regular maintenance on servers, network components and server based software. • Proficient knowledge in Window services (DNS, DHCP, SQL, SharePoint, IIS, Active Directory) • Strong organizational abilities and be capable of managing multiple priorities while maintaining a professional customer service attitud   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
