A Project Manager usually has technical expertise in one or more other domains (e.g. a Project Manager with testing skills could perform a test manager function). Required Skills and Experience: You are responsible for coordinating project performance with the Project / Program Manager and for the timely and economic utilization of resources assigned to your project. You contribute to the overall project plan, highlighting dependencies with other projects. You manage day-to-day project activities, monitor and report on progress, and identify and mitigate potential showstoppers and issues. Should have progressing skills in Negotiating, Vendor Management, Financial Reporting, Change Management, Risk Management, Quality Management and Problem Diagnosis & Solution. Should have baseline skills in Financial Analysis. Specifically, this Project Manager will work with the business clients and be responsible for managing a defined scope of applications that are running older, unsupported versions of Java. Will be responsible for managing a defined scope of workstations, servers and applications that are currently running older versions of Java. It is expected that a significant number of Business applications are affected and a high degree of testing for IT and the business unit will be required. 35 % Interfacing with Application PMs and their respective development teams 35 % interfacing with onshore & offshore Architects and developers 10 % Working with client business application owners 20% working with onshore program leadership. Specialized/Practical Knowledge Solid end-to-end project management experience Strong knowledge of Java Complexity/Problem Solving Responsible for communicating high level program PMO information to project architects and developers. Excellent oral and written communication skills Good communication is critical in interacting with the end business unit and technical resources Strong schedule coordination, collaboration, negotiating and management skills Management Skills: Will work with the other Project Managers and Testing Services to coordinate the scheduling and prioritization of multiple application related projects Experience working with offshore development teams Appropriately escalates identified risks and issues associated with the program Ability to manager several technical resources   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
