Job Description Engineer: Linux/Unix, IBM Websphere, Middleware, Technical Writing And Documentation Expe

The Middleware Support Services Team with our Columbus, Ohio client is seeking a contractor for the role of Middleware Engineer. This team supports over 13,000+ application-specific instances spanning 700+ individual applications. They provide 24x7 support for Java-based web applications across the enterprise. The following technologies are currently being supported by Middleware Support Services: MQ, Message Broker, Data Power, FTP, TomCat, WebLogic, IIS, ColdFusion, JBoss, Java, Certificate Management, and IIB.

Required Skills:
Essential Skills (1+ years of Administration experience):
Ability to research issues following basic troubleshooting methodologies
Must be a team player and comfortable working in a large team environment
Must have strong Customer Service disciplines and excellent communications and presentation skills.
Proven problem solving and analytical competencies.
Knowledge of Change, Incident and Problem Management processes
Desired:
Working knowledge of Linux/UNIX Systems, or Windows Server a plus
Knowledge of IBM WebSphere ND Application Server Admin and IHS/Apache/IIS Administration is a plus.
Technical writing documentation and management a plus
