Job Description: Position: Solutions Architect Location: Waltham, MA (Remote for now) Duration: 1+ year Position Description: Our Client in Waltham, MA is looking for a Solutions Architect to join their team on a long term basis. Solution Development: 1. Provides technical direction for the design, development, and systems integration from definition phase through implementation. 2. Applies significant knowledge of industry trends and developments to improve solution/service delivery for internal and external stakeholders. 3. Reviews proposals for technology systems. 4. Easily recognizes system deficiencies and implements effective solutions. 5. Ensure the timely completion and approvals of project deliverables Technical Effort Management: 1. Creates and enables technical plans and revises as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements. 2. Keeps team members well informed of status and serves as liaison between both vendors and project portfolios. 3. Owns technology oversight and is responsible for managing technical risks throughout various projects. 4. Identifies project risks and plans mitigation action with the PM at project level 5. Manages technical resources within budget and project schedules. 6. Consistently delivers high-quality service to all stakeholders. Technical Expertise: 1. Understands complex technology concepts and effectively employs different solutions as are appropriate to the engagement. 2. Possesses demonstrated work experience with multiple vendors and technology portfolios. 3. Possesses significant knowledge of client/server and internet systems architectures. 4. Understands networking concepts in a WAN environment. Required Skills: 1. Bachelors degree in Computer Science, MIS, Engineering, or similar field; or equivalent work experience. 2. 8-10 years of Technology Lead/Project Management experience. 3. Experience building out/standing up environments from an infrastructure perspective for delivery 4. Experience working as a strategic liaison/technology consultant between portfolios and business units 5. Ability to manage vendor relationships and hold vendors accountable for specified results 6. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously 7. 5+ years experience in a SDLC environment 8. Ability to influence and build relationships and demonstrate team leadership in all interactions. 9. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. Communicates effectively with stakeholders to identify needs and propose alternative solutions. 10. Technical and functional knowledge of the Customer Billing Systems CSS (Customer/1) or Meter-to-Cash/Revenue Cycle Management 11, Knowledge and experience with Mainframe, COBOL, DB2, UNIX, Oracle Fusion, C++, Foundation Case Product (FCP). Desired Skills (not required but candidate will have exposure to these skills in this role): 1.
