This position will provide comprehensive IT support for Medicaid system and the customer (DHHS). Primary responsilbities will be serving as a subject matter expert on the Medicaid Management Information Replacement System (MMIS) and Replacement MMIS (RMMIS) The Project Manager for the Medicaid IT Services Department will provide technical expertise regarding Strategic Planning efforts of the Replacement Medicaid Management Information system (RMMIS) and knowledge of the current operations of MMIS: Essential Responsibilities 1. Proactively analyze project requirements, develop overall portfolio and program plans, estimate resource needs of the project. Work with team to align services, establish standards, research and incorporate innovative technologies and methods, and review processes. (E/50%) 2. Oversee and evaluate the effectiveness of Medicaid IT Servcies customer expectations with SCDHHS. (E/20%) 3. Ensure the division delivers services in an effective manner to customers. Ensure that SCDHHS is provided reporting on a pre-defined schedule regarding project prioritization and proactive planning based on critical level. (E/10%) 4. Develop management staff competency skills in operational support of critical production systems. (E/10%) 5. Provide metrics regarding resource capacity and usage in order to effectively manage resources. Monitor usage on a weekly, monthly and yearly basis in order to improve development and support allocations. Provide the Executive Director with valid metrics into resource planning in order to improve project planning and delivery. (E/10) Required Skills: 1. Experience with State MMIS business and operations considered a plus. 2. Vendor Management experience. 3. Healthcare industry experience and/or experience managing PHI/PII data. 4.
