Job Description : It is recruiting a Lead Network Engineer for one of our clients here in the Pittsburgh area. The Lead Network Engineer will be responsible for the day-to-day administration of voice and data telecommunication technology systems. They will participate in evaluating and implementing new telecommunications voice and data technologies, and coordinate and perform system and network moves, adds and changes at all sites. Responsibilities: Participate in the specification, design, consolidation and support of existing telecommunication systems and networks. Assist in planning the implementation of new technology and systems. Oversee network bandwidth utilization, collection and reporting. Maintain records for move, ads, and changes requests, equipment, circuits, and assists on telecom billing support. Ensure vendor compliance with contract terms. Participate in telecommunications related projects including evaluating new tools and technologies and assist in planning/implementation. Initiate basic network orders with telecommunication local and exchange carriers. Interface with vendors to ensure proper escalation during outages or periods of degraded service. Assist in supporting the achievement of team objectives Qualifications: Secondary education (high school diploma or equivalent) or equivalent work experience required, Associates degree preferred 10-15 years of experience in telephony.
