They have a template for the SSIS, no data modeling necessary. The person in this role is not responsible for reporting. They have another team for that. They need to understand data mapping (source to target). Required: Must have strong communication skills and be able to take direction Advanced SQL skills + Stored procedures – 3-5 years of experience SSIS experience – simple packages, nothing complex. They are given the design pattern Source code control is used - foundational data Data Mapping Skills ETL Testing experience will be needed – must be able to prove w/o doubt a job has been completed Environment: They use SQL Servers 2012 and 2017 Visual Studio 2015 and 2017 Daily scrums BI experience is usually better than DBA for ETL purposes Source code control is used - foundational data No SSAS or SSRS Needed Nice to have skills: Migration experience, extracting data OUT of MS Dynamics and/or Salesforce and putting it into a centralized location (they are migrating to Salesforce Lightning) Interview Process: 1 in-person interview to hire.
