Full Description: • They are looking at the data and doing some validation – checking that the metadata matches the data dictionary • All applications have to get the technical metadata (table and column information) – every piece of DMI uses technical metadata. Building the bookends- the technical metadata can be scanned to capture this. They are going in and completing questionnaires to connect the sources. Then the analysts look at metadata hub and compare and make sure it matches. And if it doesnt match, they send it back to engineering • If they have experience in another metadata repository, this is good. They need to have understood metadata concepts. ** this is the interview – lineage, technical metadata, • SQL is nice to have, not required. The engineering side uses SQL – this will help them understand their processes. • They will be using Excel – they will get a compare in excel in what is in the source application and the metadata hub. • Excellent communication – working with technology teams.
