So dont take action however have product adobe flash player thats also automated. However, they have products that are standalone install—havent come up with idea to automate so are manually doing. Product lies with other product (oracle java), additional products embedded, need to understand product and how we can upgrade and how will impact the other layer of products. Dependencies within other products. • Complex products on servers and desktops- need to determine type, version, location, etc. o CEs will need to partner with identified product owners to create solutions/gameplans for vulnerability • Resources need comprehensive understanding of desktop/server products so they can communicate with both technical teams and product owners. o They are creating the remediation gameplan and then passing off to another team to remediate vulnerable product • Need to understand install process, how to troubleshoot issues as they occur during remediation process and have solid understanding of how to identify issues during installs, fixes, etc. • Background: o Windows/Linux/Java background required o Must understand how products function on desktop/servers ? Need to understand how remediation could impact embedded products o Experience creating vulnerability remediation game plans from scratch Formal Job Description: This Application Systems Engineer will work as part of the Product Solution Support Management group that will be responsible for security configuration parameter identification and validation of all application products managed by this team. This group consists of highly technical subject matter experts that will also develop and document deployment approach and gameplans for applying product security configurations and security configuration baselines as well as provide evidence documentation as appropriate. This resource will be responsible for identifying and managing the execution of activities in support of the lifecycle management standards and policies. This includes identification and validation of patches and configuration management changes, deployment planning of patches and/or removals of products when they are not compliant or at end of life. Requirements: • 5+ years technical experience in information security, vulnerability management, or related areas • 5+ years technical experience in managing and operating Windows and Linux operating systems Desired Qualifications: • Strong understanding of both desktop and server operating systems and applications • Strong understanding of Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) Strong understanding of Lean, Agile, and Scrum practices • Advanced Microsoft Office skills with a keen interest in Microsoft Excel spreadsheet management • Ability to work effectively in a team environment as well as independently • Advanced problem solving and technical troubleshooting capabilities • Strong attention to detail and accuracy skills • Strong written and oral communication skills   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
