Candidate must be local : Yes Job Description : This client is working toward modernizing legacy COBOL applications to a current web framework. This candidate will work closely with our COBOL application developer to ensure business requirements and functionality are maintained through the migration process. We are looking for a full stack ASP.NET senior level developer with a minimum of 5 to 10 years C# experience. Candidate must have a minimum 3 to 5 years working with MVC design patterns. Candidate must have a minimum of 3 to 5 years SQL experience. Candidate must have a minimum of 3 to 5 years working with Entity Framework and LINQ. Experience with Oracle databases a plus. Experience with Azure DevOps and or TFS a plus. Experience with source control including Git and GitHub repositories a plus. Plan, develop, test, and document computer applications, applying agile methodologies and knowledge of programming best practices. Evaluate user requests for new or modified applications including supply chain, financial, vehicle maintenance, para transit, transportation or human resources. Analyze and develop specifications for application systems, to determine feasibility, time and materials and compatibility with existing systems. Consult with users to identify current operating procedures and clarify program objectives. Formulate plan outlining steps required to develop application, using methodologies such as structured analysis and design or object-oriented development. Capture requirements using industry standard development frameworks and tools. Design user interfaces and applications to accomplish goals per user request. Review user interfaces and applications with users. Conduct application integration, regression, unit and user acceptance tests. Analyze, review and alter application to increase operating efficiency or adapt to changing requirements. Write documentation to describe program development, logic, coding, and corrections.
