The engineer will facilitate a DevOps mindset within the team using techniques such as Acceptance Test Driven Development, Continuous Integration, and Continuous Delivery to provide quality products with seamless integration across Development, Quality Assurance, Infrastructure, Operations, and Release Management roles. Here we are looking for somebody who created the automation or pipeline vs somebody who used it.). · Experience designing the infrastructure/hosting for consumer facing web sites that handle high volumes of traffic (ecommerce stores, bank sites, sites that you or I would use from home and be annoyed and go to a competitor if it was down when we wanted to use it. etc.). The successful candidate will be a servant leader who develops and supports a learning organization model through coaching, training, and mentorship. The successful candidate will be one that can adapt as necessary for unintended consequences of this change initiative and one that understands the value of commitments to delivery made by a development team. Candidates will work in a DevOps team environment and are expected to work on both tactical and strategic assignments. Candidates are expected to perform manual work while at the same time determining the best approaches to automate. Required: · Undergraduate degree in software engineering, computer science or related field. · 10 years of experience managing and deploying large scale, consumer facing web products · 7 years of experience with CICD practices, processes and tools (Git, Jenkins, etc.). · 5 years of experience managing containerized workloads running in common PaaS solutions (i.e. Kubernetes, Mesos, Openshift) · 5 years of experience implementing infrastructure monitoring, application monitoring and telemetry systems. · 3 years of experience in at least 1 high level programming language such as C, C#, C++ or Java · Experience migrating applications to public cloud providers (AWS and Azure preferred). · Experience with RESTful applications.
