Support/Develop the Patient Care System (PCS), Order Entry (OE), Physician Order Management (POM), Imaging and Therapeutic Services (ITS), and Electronic Medical Record (EMR) modules of the MEDITECH system. 2. Assist with the enterprise-wide implementation of and provide maintenance and support for the MEDITECH HCIS and interfaces. 3. Maintain data dictionaries and develop customer-defined screens. 4. Facilitate standardization of dictionaries and system setup across multi-facilities. 5. Perform testing, documentation and validation of future MEDITECH versions and other related software. 6. Execute test plans and participate in the testing and integration of patches and scheduled releases of application software to determine stability and compliance with standards. 7. Analyze causes of program failure by using various application tools in order to determine appropriate response to make necessary changes. 8. Work directly with the Core Team Leaders at each facility to develop applications and implement fixes and future software enhancements. 9. Work directly with the software vendor (MEDITECH) on identified issues, questions and concerns and implement the appropriate changes into the DPH MEDITECH system. 10. Implement and support any current/future interfaces to the clinical modules. 11. Implement and support any future clinical modules purchased and/or developed by DPH BOHM. 12. Assist with training other IT staff and end-users as appropriate. 13. Develop training scripts and documentation as appropriate. 14. Maintains and documents all issues in the BOHM ticket tracking system. 15. Communicate fixes and updates to hospital staff. 16. Work with other application analysts on team projects. 17. Provides coverage for the Bureaus Help Desk staff during peak times and as needed. 18. Research new technologies; attend seminars, workshops, training sessions and professional meetings to keep abreast of developments in the field.   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
