The transition of the HCIS to VMware is part of a larger ITD initiative to update and modernize back-end infrastructure. Required: 1. Document the current state of MEDITECH HCIS environment including: current system state, business requirements, system dependencies, third party application integration, system diagram, and overall readiness 2. In consultation with the DDS MEDITECH analysts, deliver a MEDITECH Application design document as a result of all design decisions made in concert with ITD throughout the design process. 3. Produce a BoM for software and hardware components considering sizing, scalability, availability, and reliability design for each infrastructure domain for the capacity requirements 4. Deliver methodology and step-by-step procedural documentation for migration of existing hardware environment to VMware vSphere ESXi 4.1 platform 5. Deliver methodology and step-by-step procedural documentation for migration of the HCIS OS from Windows 2000 to Windows 2008 in the VMware environment. 6. Deliver methodology and step-by-step procedural documentation for migration of the Citrix servers from their current environment to the VMware environment 7. Deliver a system build guide with step-by-step instructions for each type of the Meditech server (file server, background jobs server, etc.). Instructions may need to consider upgrading MEDITECH HCIS from 5.55 to a version that is compatible with target VMware environment. 8. Provide a step-by-step test case with expected success criteria to ensure all functionality is working post migration 9.
