Engage with End users and business analyst to ensure that the BI solution meets business requirements. | Architectural knowledge of establishing and implementing MicroStrategy environments. | Engage in full life-cycle development from analysis, design, development, testing and implementation. | Understanding of Dimension modeling concepts and ability to understand high-level business needs and articulate to define good design and reporting requirements. | Implement best practices in development standards, migration and change management processes. | Define project performance benchmarks and implement strategy for deployment. | Hands on experience in using MicroStrategy Service Modules, User Interfaces and Development tools. | Experience with integrating MicroStrategy with heterogeneous data sources and the implementation of dynamic-sourcing. | Development of project schemas based on logical models. | Development of grid, graph, document and dashboard reports. | Development of Narrowcast services for report deployment. | Provide technical solutions in MicroStrategy on complex report development needs identified by other MicroStrategy report developers. | Ability to upgrade the MicroStrategy from one version to other. | Interacting effectively with internal and external stakeholders. Experience in the following is required: | Data warehousing, MicroStrategy Report development, MicroStrategy Document/Dashboard, MicroStrategy Architect, MicroStrategy Administrator, ETL tool, Data modeling, UNIX / Sun Solaris, and SQL. Purpose of Role The MicroStrategy architedct will provide the technology leadership for all BI related portions of our advertising analytics and attribution platform. Will be responsible for design, implementation and support of the MicroStrategy reporting environment. The architect will set the strategy and solution architecture that will allow our end users to glean insights that they cannot do today and or do so more efficiently. Top Accountabilities Create and manage application architecture blueprint for MicroStrategy BI platform Support of the MicroStrategy environment to ensure high availability, resilience, integrity, security, and performance Work with business stakeholders to gather requirements, create functional and technical design and implement reporting solutions using grid reports, dashboards and document services, visual insights, mobile and data mining services Create MicroStrategy projects to support new BI initiatives by defining schema, setting up metadata and creating optimized reports. Tune MicroStrategy reports for best SQL performance to run efficiently and work with Database developers to optimize report and data structure Continuously review and enhance logical and physical database designs as well as optimization for efficient reporting Deploy and manage mobile reports on MicroStrategy mobile Implement comprehensive plan for distribution of reports via automation, scheduling and distribution services Implement intelligent cubes for supporting advanced analytics Provide administration of the MicroStrategy environment Have exceptional skills in logical thinking, structured analysis and problem solving Qualifications and Experience Required 7+ years "hands-on" experience with MicroStrategy 5+ years of experience in data warehouse architecture and engineering 5+ years "hands-on" experience using Oracle PL/SQL, stored procedures, SQL optimization skills Proven experience with data integration, business intelligence and web solutions Expert at complicated report/dashboard/ Mobile design and data modeling skills Very strong business analysis experience MicroStrategy environment expertise including desktop report development, dashboards, mobile, distribution services, and datamarts.
